1. Edward ScissorHANDS
Edward Scissorhands is a 1990 American fantasy film directed by Tim Burton, produced by Denise Di Novi and Tim Burton, and written by Caroline Thompson. It stars Johnny Depp as an artificial man named Edward who has scissors for hands.
Johnny Depp’s character in the film is a creation of an inventor named Professor Scissorhands. He was created with the intention of becoming a servant to the inventor’s daughter Kim. The inventor dies before he can finish Edward’s hands, so Edward lives in solitude with Kim and her mother Helen. The inventor’s family eventually moves away and leaves him alone again. He befriends a local Avon lady called Peg Boggs (Dianne Wiest), who becomes his first friend, but she dies of old age while Kim is away at school. Edward then falls in love with Kim upon her return home from school despite being warned by Peg not to do so because of his appearance.
2. HOCUS POCUS
Hocus Pocus is a movie that tells the story of three kids who are trying to stop an evil magician from taking over the world.
The movie starts off with Max and his sister Dani trying to find their friend Horace. They go to a carnival where they find him being chased by a dog. The dog chases them all the way back to Horace’s house where they find out that he has been hypnotized by an evil magician named Billy Butcherson. They then set out on a mission with their new friend Allison, who is also hypnotized, in order to save themselves and their town from Billy Butcherson’s rule.
3. NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
The movie tells the story of Jack Skellington, who lives in a world called Holloween town. One day, he finds himself in Christmas town and decides to take over Christmas by making it his own holiday. He steals Santa’s bag full of toys and brings them back to Holloween town to give out for free so that everyone can enjoy it without having to work for it. But as he does this, he starts to feel like there might be something missing from his life and realizes that he was not satisfied with what he had been doing all along. He realizes that this is because there was no Christmas spirit in his life at all, so he goes on an adventure where he learns how Christmas is really supposed to be celebrated and finds himself again.
4.GHOSTBUSTER
Ghost busters is a popular movie franchise. It is about 3 men who work as paranormal investigators and eliminators. The first ghost buster movie was released on July 18, 1984. The story takes place in New York City where there are reports of paranormal activity.
The protagonist, Dr. Peter Venkman, played by Bill Murray, and his colleagues Dr. Raymond Stantz and Dr. Egon Spengler investigate the phenomenon of paranormal activity in an old abandoned house that has been reported to be haunted by a ghost known as “Slimer”. They set up various traps throughout the house to catch the ghost but when they enter the basement they are attacked by a swarm of ghosts that had been released from the containment unit which they had earlier set up in the basement for experimental purposes.
5.CORALINE
Coraline is a 2009 film based on the novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman. The movie was directed by Henry Selick and written by Henry Selick and David Jones.
The plot of the story follows a young girl, Coraline, who discovers a secret door in her new home that leads to an alternate reality. In this world, her Other Mother and Father are much more attentive than her real parents, but something is wrong with this world—it’s not what it seems.
6. CORPSE BRIDE
The Corpse Bride is a 2005 stop-motion fantasy film directed by Tim Burton and produced by Tim Burton and Mike Johnson. It tells the story of Victor, a shy young man who falls in love with Victoria, a beautiful young woman he meets at the annual Halloween dance.
The Corpse Bride is set in Victorian era Europe, but draws inspiration from various other cultures including Celtic mythology. The plot of the film centers on Victor’s marriage to Victoria while both are still alive; however, because he was not specific about what kind of wife he wanted when making his deal with the devil, she is cursed to become a “corpse bride” following their marriage.
7. ADAMS FAMILY
The Adams family is a fictional family from the popular ABC sitcom, The Adams Family. The show was aired for six seasons, from September 24, 1971 to March 23, 1977. The show was created by Allan Burns and developed by James L. Brooks and Allan Burns.
The series was a spin-off of the 1970 film of the same name that starred Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton as Adam and Evelyn Adams, who live in Beverly Hills with their four children: daughter Carol (played by Denise Nickerson), sons John (played by Tony Dow) and Brian (played by Barry Williams) and their niece Cathy Ann (played by Kristy McNichol).
